Hi friends! Hope you all had an amazing weekend. While many parts of the country are able to bring out their sweaters, my fellow Houstonians and I are still living with 80+ degrees. This year, though, I’ve found the perfect transitional piece: the sleeveless turtleneck.
Its higher neckline gives off an autumn vibe while the sleeveless style makes it cool enough to wear right now. I’ve seen a variety of styles—some have more of a mock-neck while others have a larger cowl-neck. They also come in a wide selection of fabrics, like a thin jersey material or a chunky knit. Plus when the weather finally gets colder these will be perfect for wearing under coats, cardigans and jackets since it creates a layered look without feeling bulky.

2. At the Office – Your key to looking in command: Mixing classic, structured pieces. Looking for a foolproof combo? Add a white blazer, a tote and a statement shoe in a similar palette; a black leather skirt adds just the right amount of edge.
3. Dinner with the Girls – For a meet-up with friends, slip on a cropped jacket, distressed black jeans and sexy heels. A crocodile-embossed clutch dials up the glam.
4. Catching a Flight – Add a wool coat that can double as a blanket. Paired with loose pants that will help keep you comfortable. Don’t forget your roomy tote for all your carry-on essentials.

This Francescas sweater is definitely how I’m doing Fall in Texas! Y’all, the temps yesterday were in the mid 90’s! Ahhhhh, seriously! Why so H-O-T-T?? I am happy to see later this week we will be loving life again with highs in the 70’s! Thank God!
