Week One: Giving Thanks

Last week I challenged you to acknowledge the blessings you have in your life. To sit back, grab a cup of coffee and notepad/pen and write down your blessings both big and small.

Today, I want to share my first five blessings —

1. Most importantly, I am thankful for Grace — for love that cannot be explained (only surrendered to), for a Creator that inspires creativity, for purpose and a hope that there is more to the story than we see.

2. I am thankful for my hubs, who vowed to be my biggest fan on the day we were married and who always supports me even on my hardest days.

 

3. I am blessed to share life with the best family and friends! Their unconditional love and support are one of the greatest comforts in the walk of life.4. My online community, I am grateful for my readers (both near and far) around the world who have given me a purpose and passion for blogging. You have made this “hobby” of blogging so much more enjoyable!

5. Quiet time, whether I’m reflecting and praying to Him or taking a deep breath in the middle of a difficult situation. I am thankful for these moments!

So here’s my challenge to you: If you haven’t taken some time today, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, to come up with a gratitude list. If it doesn’t come naturally, don’t let that stop you from still giving thanks. There is always something to be thankful for!

Below I’ve linked my favorite shift dresses! My favorite is HERE!! THIS beauty adds a lil’ party in the back! More than likely I will be wearing one on Thanksgiving day… the way I see it, more room for turkey and all the fixings! 😉

    Haha! Yes to shift dresses for Thanksgiving!! #moreroomforturkey 😂😂😂 On a more serious note, thanks for encouraging us to write a list of what we're thankful for. I'm definitely thankful for 1) My hubby's 100% perfect health after brain tumor #2. I thank God and praise Him for His healing power & love towards us! 2)I'm thankful for our kids who are growing up, loving God–so thankful for that! 3) And I'm thankful for my church family. they have truly gone above and beyond with us this year. Unbelievable! Thank You, Lord!

    So cute! Love your outfit!! And that first shift dress you linked it gorgeous!!!! That rust color and the way it drapes/falls is perfection! Love how you were intentional about thinking on your blessings. That always helps me!! xx
