Life As We Know It

Hi Friends & Happy FRIDAY! Today, not only am I sharing these beautiful pictures of my lil’ family (my boys are the cutest) but also opening up and giving a life update! As mentioned before, the last couple of weeks, ok maybe months, have been hectic, crazy hectic that is! My full time job has been super busy, the hubs has been traveling all the while still trying to keep things afloat here + selling our house, buying a new house, packing and moving into a little apartment for 45 days! Whew! Jesus, thank you for getting us through THAT! You ask, “Why?” and “What’s next?” The short answer, we are moving to the Austin area in August!

Yes, you read that right we are moving to Austin, Texas in August!

This news is very bittersweet to us because we LOVE it here in The Woodlands but I couldn’t think of a better place to be moving too, even if Austin is a little weird! Earlier this year, the hubs’s company announced they are moving their headquarters to Round Rock, Texas (15 minutes north of Austin). A few sleepless nights and many answered prayers later, we committed to moving to the area as well! The next step was selling our first house we bought together as Mr. and Mrs. (we literally closed 13 days after getting married). Seeing the “for sale” sign in our yard the first time definitely hit home that we were in fact really moving. A short, 14 days went by (praise Jesus!) and we accepted a contract on our house to close at the end of June. In the meantime, we purchased a brand new house in the Austin area that will be move in ready mid-August! I’ve never admitted this but I enjoy decorating a home just about as much as I like shopping, wine, and Tex-Mex! So, to say I’m excited about this new chapter is a bit of an understatement! For those of you that are still keeping up, you guessed it! We are currently homeless, well not really… We temporarily moved into an apartment here in The Woodlands until our new home is completed! I should add, our little apartment is within walking distance to some of the best restaurants, bars, and shopping in The Woodlands! I told the hubs, I’ll just treat the next 40 days as an extended vacation!

So, as of right now this is life! Apartment living isn’t too shabby but you better believe it I’ll be ready to move in and start decorating our NEW home come August! Until then, we are spending as much time as possible with our family and dear friends here in the The Woodlands! For my blogging friends here in Houston, I’d love to get together for coffee or lunch before I leave! I do foresee many long weekend road trips back to the Houston area in my future!
