Hello Friends!
It’s been a little over two years since I’ve used this space on the internet, but WHO is really counting? The last two years have flown by… life got a little crazy, my creative mind switched from pretty pictures to messy playrooms and diapers, the world “stopped” and well life happens! But, I’m back! At least, I’m holding myself accountable to one post a week. Cru, who is now two, started MDO in August. While he is at “school” learning and socializing, I’m doing all the “mama” type things along with having some fun and doing what I do best… shopping the racks!
Here in Texas, the temperatures FINALLY dropped this week (thank you, Jesus) and the retail stores are loaded with all things fall, pumpkin and harvest! Actually, as I am typing this I have my favorite fall candle burning and it’s giving me all the feels! I have not pulled all my fall decor out of the attic yet, kinda of procrastinating but I think it’s happening soon!
Fall 2021 Trends

If there were no budget (I married Mr. Excel) I would start with a new slate and leave everything in the attic. I’m loving the warm, earthly tones and texture. Pops of gold and black here and there are definitely eye catching. This year I am trying to stick to earthy tones, terracotta vases, wicker baskets and wooden furniture pieces.
You ask what are my top five items that I am incorporating into my fall decor? I’ve been eyeing this ceramic vase for a couple of months now. It’s been in my cart and I finally purchased it yesterday! I can’t wait for it to arrive, stay tuned to see how I add some fun stems to it! These woven pumpkins are very underrated! The quality is top notch and price is a no brainer! Click on the link to check them out yourself! Over the last year I’ve not only become a homebody but a pillow snob too. I love how neutral and tasteful this pillow is! Toss it on a bench, chair or sofa for an added touch of fall, it also helps that it is currently on clearance! A splurge worthly item in my mind is a beautiful wreath! Our front door is dark so this wheat wreath makes the perfect statement. Tip: when shopping for wreaths make sure the size will fit your front door correctly. I’m guilty of buying and not measuring, wreaths come in all sizes these days. Lastly, Target had these corn husk pumpkins last year and they are back again this year! They are great quality and come in a couple different sizes. Hurry because like last year, they will sell out!
Check back soon for more fall decor post, a halloween guide as well as holiday family photo prep! I’m so happy to be back, I hope you are too!
